I’d really like the reader to look at this book as more of an invitation than a mandate. There are no iron-clad rules contained in these pages. I do believe that with the right choices, most of us can be stronger, fitter, live longer and get the most out of the aging process we all must face. My chosen road was based on my strengths and experiences. Your road may be entirely different. Lots of roads can lead you to your destination. I’ve always believed that we are only in a competition with one person—ourselves.
What someone else does is irrelevant. We all have different abilities and different needs. I hope in these pages you will get a feel for what you need to do, stay open to change and find your best road.
